Thought Bubble Comic Con, a Harrogate based Comic Book Convention, which will take place on the 11th and 12th of November, 2023 have announced that they’ve created three sets of micro-bursaries for comic book creators based in the UK.
Supported by Travelling Man, these bursaries will provide £200 in cash, a table at Thought Bubble Comics Con and the creators will be showcased on the Thought Bubble website and on social media.
The bursaries are for Disabled Comic Creators, Comic Creators Of Colour and Trans/Non-Binary Comic Creators.
As a comic book creator with learning disabilities, I think this is a wonderful move on the part of Thought Bubble to help the careers of marginalized creators.
The deadline to submit for these bursaries is June 14th, 2023.
