Today, DC Comics opened the doors for writers to apply for their Talent Development Workshop. Previously DC has run Workshops for artists, but after completing a Pilot scheme last year, they are now running a course for writer to apply for.
The course will be run by Scott Snyder; comic book writer and teacher. You can see what he has to say about the Pilot scheme here; http://www.newsarama.com/27106-scott-snyder-leading-dc-writer-development-program.html
The Workshop will take the form of interactive online workshops, spread over thirteen weeks. At the completion of this, a smaller group from the class will be invited to DC offices in Burbank for an intensive writing experience with guest lecturers.
All of this with the aim of putting successful participants onto DC book as part of their current line up.
Truly, the chance of a lifetime.
Applicants are required to upload their current résumé, write a short composition about themselves, include two previously published writing samples (these can be samples published in the mainstream, small press or indie press) and a completed submissions agreement.
You also have the option of including a recommendation letter from an industry professional who is familiar with your work.
All the details can be found here; https://www.dccomicstalentworkshop.com/
Applications will close on the 31st of May, 2016.
